Dear Students,
We wish you all a Happy New Year 🎊 and extend our best wishes for 2025! As we continue to strive for academic excellence, we are excited to share some important updates to enhance your learning experience.
New Attendance Policies 👩🎓
We are currently developing updated attendance policies to ensure all alumni complete the required 110 hours of coursework, in line with Ministry of Education guidelines.Proctoring Requirements for Unit Tests and Final Exams 👨🏫👩💻
Effective immediately, all Unit Tests and Final Exams must be proctored. If a unit test or final exam is submitted without proctoring, it will be void, and the student will be required to complete a new evaluation in a proctored setting. How to Get Your Tests and Exams Proctored ℹ️
When you reach the end of a unit, message your teacher to notify them and request to schedule your proctored Unit Test or Final Exam if applicable.
Proctoring Guidelines 🔏
- Camera Requirement: Your camera must remain on throughout the test, clearly showing your workspace.
- Permitted Materials: You may use blank paper, a pen or pencil, and any materials approved by your teacher.
- Organization: Keep your work organized by labeling sections and question numbers.
- Device Usage: Your computer may only be used to access the test or exam for reference purposes.
Kindly ensure that your camera remains on at all times during the exam, pointing at your workspace (see the image below as reference). You can have your laptop/computer on, with the exam document opened, and have a couple of blank pieces of paper to write your exam. This is a requirement to maintain the integrity of the exam process. Note: Having it at an angle is also acceptable. The important thing is that your whole workspace is viewable. At any point, your teacher may ask you to share your entire screen during the online meeting.
If you have any questions or concerns before the meeting, feel free to reach out to your teacher prior to starting your test/exam.
These updates are being implemented immediately to improve your academic journey and ensure compliance with the highest educational standards. We are confident these changes will help you maximize your learning potential and achieve success in your courses.
Best regards,
The Averroes Academy Team
